KungFu Panda and the Meaning Of Life
Isn’t it incredible how some of the most innocent children’s movies have so much inspiration to share.
If you’ve seen Kung Fu Panda you’ll remember Po, the Panda. You’ll remember how, it is foretold that he is the next Dragon Warrior who will save their community, despite the fact that Po is very overweight and doesn’t know Kung Fu. You’ll remember too that once Po achieves a certain level of proficiency, his master, Shifu says that it’s time for him to open the sacred Dragon Scroll which endows its posessor with great power.
But when Po opened the Dragon Scroll it was blank. When Po saw that he lost heart and believed that everything he had worked for was a lie.
Defeated, Po went back to his father’s house back to helping his father in his noodle restaurant, make his legendary noodle soup that people from far and wide came to try because of its secret ingredient.
When Po arrived back his father said to him, “There’s something I should have told you about a long time ago. It’s the secret ingredient to my noodle soup. The secret ingredient is that there is no secret ingredient. It’s the fact that people believe there is a secret ingredient that makes it so special.”
Instantly, a light bulb flashed inside Po’s head as he realised that the same message applied to the Dragon Scroll … the fact that people believed it contained secret powers is what made it so powerful.
How many times do we buy another book or course or attend another seminar trying to find the magic pill that will lead us to our destiny when the reality is that the magic pill is already inside us.
We are all gifted with incredible powers to achieve magnificent feats. We don’t need anyone else to be powerful. All we need to do is believe that we are.
Makes you think, doesn’t it!

We seem to need to be reminded that we are unique and wonderful. Wouldn’t it be great if we believed that 100% of the time? I wonder if there is a pill you can take for that? Only kidding!
